  • AI as the only factor – The researchers assume ChatGPT is the only thing affecting translation jobs. Economic changes, platform-specific shifts, and demand variations weren’t considered.

Data limitations – The study doesn’t account for freelance translators who work outside online platforms.

Many experienced translators work directly with agencies and private clients, making their earnings invisible in this study.
