Instant QA warning confirmation can now be deactivated
Allows segments with Tags and/or Glossaries mismatches to be confirmed without the need of an additional confirmation from the user (a visual reference for segments with warning will still be present).
Why this is helpful
Allows for flexibility and may allow linguists to translate more content within a given timeframe.
Take noteTranslation quality may be impacted if the user is not applying the fixes required to the translation and ignoring Glossaries or Tags mismatches altogether.
Translation Memory metadata visibility in Editor
Displays the TM metadata (Entry creation date, modified date, Key, etc) by hovering the mouse over a TM suggestion.
Why this is helpful
Allows the user to use this info to select the best TM suggestion and also see the history of that entry (Creation and last modified date and user).
Take noteThe TM metadata history will only display the Creation date, Last modified date and the user who made that modification. Other changes made in between these two periods of time are not stored in the TM metadata.
Glossary metadata visibility in Editor
Displays the Glossary metadata (Concept definition, usage, notes, etc) by hovering the mouse over a glossary suggestion.
Why this is helpful
Allows the user to see relevant information related to the term (if available) ensuring a better usage of the Glossary suggestions.
Take noteThe TM metadata history will only display the Creation date, Last modified date and the user who made that modification. Other changes made in between these two periods of time are not stored in the TM metadata.
String search (Project Overview filters)
Allows the user to filter the WUs in a project based on the Content (Source or Target).
Why this is helpful
The user can use this to find any files that have a specific string/term to make updates to these files.
Project Instructions
Any instructions added to the Project under the section “Instruction” will reflect in the Tasks that are part of the project (Instructions tab in the Task).
Why this is helpful
Allows the PM or Client to share relevant information that will be automatically transferred to the linguists working on the Tasks.
QA check
The QA check now will no longer run automatically when the Task is opened.
Why this is helpful
The goal is to prevent false positives by executing it prior to any fixes and translations have been made. Also, it allows us to identify Tasks where the linguist did not run QA checks in future updates of the platform.
File Upload to existing projects (Project overview tab)
Allows the user to upload a file to an existing project with Draft status.
Why this is helpful
Eliminates the need of creating a new project to upload a new one has been added to the Scope of the project, prior to project approval.Files can only be updated to projects with Draft status. Please note that if files are uploaded after calculating costs, it will have to be calculated again when uploading new files.
Take note: It is not recommended to change Approved projects to Draft if the translation has already started. Re-calculating costs under this circumstance will leverage the newly saved content in the TM, which will directly reflect in the New cost calculated and generate a discrepancy.
Glossary term origin
Shows the glossary to which each term that is suggested belongs to.
Why this is helpful
No further clicking is necessary to understand the precedence of each term.
Action button (Project Overview tab)
The Pre-translation and Logfile creation actions are now added grouped under this Actions button.
Why this is helpful
It allows additional project actions (the result of future platform improvements) to be grouped, keeping a clean and more intuitive UI.
