Henrique Cabral Is a Finalist in the Process Innovation Challenge (PIC#18)

Our CTO, Henrique Cabral, has been selected as a finalist in the Process Innovation Challenge (PIC#18) YAYYYYYYYYYY! WOOOO! LET’S GOOOOO! YES. THIS. IS. HAPPENING. 

Sorry for the burst.  We’re calm now. Sort of. Back to the business.

PIC is an event focused on innovation in translation and localization. This year, the event will take place in Malmö.

About the Free Flow Editor

Henrique introduced the Free Flow Editor, a translation editor that moves away from the usual segmented view found in traditional translation tools. 

Creative translators often feel limited, either they’re forced to fit their work into strict boxes (yes, segments) to reuse client memories and terms, or they have to switch to tools like Google Docs that don’t support translation features at all.

The Free Flow Editor brings the best of both worlds: it keeps useful translation features while allowing translators to work in a more natural and flexible way.

This is the fourth time in a row that Bureau Works has been named a PIC finalist. Free Flow joins a group of other innovations like Context Sensitivity, Smart Dynamic Feed, and Sous-Chef, all of which are fully built into our platform and already in production.

To be honest, whether we win or not, being a finalist is just part of the story. What we really enjoy is the whole process.

Will the dragons love our idea? We have no clue.

What we do know? Free Flow is going into production. It’s not just a concept for a contest, it’s going live.
